FAQs
1. About HOM
What is HOM?
HOM is a resistance strength training studio in Estoril. Sessions are 50 minutes, coach-led, and structured around a spring based machine that creates continuous tension throughout every movement. Capacity is limited to nine clients per session. The studio also includes a private Recovery Room with infrared sauna and red light therapy, and a juice bar with functional blends prepared in-house.
Where are you located?
Av. Sabóia 935, Loja A, Estoril. We are a few minutes from Cascais, with free street parking available on and around Av. Sabóia.
Is this Pilates?
No. Our spring-based machine can sometimes be mistaken for a Pilates reformer, but the concept and the training stimulus are different. It is strength training performed on a spring-based machine. With a focus on time under tension, each movement is slow and controlled, improving neuromuscular connection, strength, and stability. If you have a Pilates background, you will find some familiar movement principles, but the intensity will be new.
2. Your First Visit
Do I need experience with this type of training?
No. Sessions are suitable for all levels. If it is your first time, arrive 10 minutes before class for a brief machine walkthrough and injury screening. Your instructor will guide you through the setup and adapt the session where needed.
What should I bring?
Grip socks are required for all sessions. You can bring your own or purchase a pair at the studio. Wear activewear that allows you to move comfortably. Loose clothing and jewellery are not recommended. You can bring your own water bottle and fill it up at our filtered water station.
What is available at the studio?
We provide fresh towels, Dyson hairdryers, premium toiletries, private changing rooms, and filtered water. Phone chargers are available inside each locker.
Can I bring personal belongings into the training room?
For safety and focus, personal belongings are not permitted inside the training room. Water bottles are welcome. All other items should be stored in the lockers provided before class begins.
What is your phone policy?
We ask everyone to keep their phones off during class to protect the focus and privacy of everyone in the room. You’re welcome to take photos or videos before or after class.
Can I arrive late?
For your first visit, plan to arrive 10 minutes early. This time is used for onboarding and is not negotiable. For all subsequent classes, we allow a 3-minute grace period after the session begins. Beyond this, entry is not permitted to protect the safety and quality of the class.
3. Bookings & Memberships
How do I book a class?
Through our booking platform, Momence. You can create an account, view the schedule, and book directly. Classes can also be booked through the Book Now page on this site, which will redirect you to Momence.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before the session. Late cancellations and no-shows result in the loss of that session credit. Class sizes are limited, and late cancellations affect other clients on the waitlist.
Are memberships transferable?

Can I freeze my membership?
Yes. Freezes are available twice per year, up to 15 days each, or once per year, up to 1 month, requested at least 15 days in advance.
